Runkus connects with Tarrus Riley on “Make It Breathe”

The Jamaican artist shares the latest single from his 2020 album, IN: SIDE.

Artist and producer Runkus continues to drop videos from his IN:SIDE project, this time sharing the visuals for his single “Make It Breathe” alongside reggae legend Tarrus Riley.

“In a time where it’s hard to breathe and it’s such a busy time mentally, spiritually, emotionally — what we really need to do is just chill,” Runkus said of the track in a press release. “Especially in a time where this virus makes it hard to breathe, we definitely need to protect our breath even more; our actual breath and figuratively, our breath of life.”

The Mykal Cushnie-directed clip, produced via a collaboration between Delicious Vinyl Island and Clarks Originals, finds both artists kicking back in Runkus’ hometown of Portmore.

Last month, Runkus shared a short documentary about recording IN:SIDE during Jamaica’s highly restrictive pandemic lockdowns.
