DR. Dre has finally been released from the hospital after being rushed into intensive care for a “brain aneurysm” on January 5th.
The entrepreneur has since been accused of years of violent physical and emotional abuse by his ex-wife Nicole Young.
The hip hop star’s close friend ICE T took to Twitter and Instagram to share the news of Dr. Dre’s recovery.
The rapper wrote: “Update: Just facetimed with @drdre. He just made it home. Safe and looking good.”
The star quickly assured his fans that he would “be back soon,” taking to his Instagram to share: “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well-wishes.
“I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon.
“Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
Though no official cause for the aneurysm has been detected at this time, Dr. Dre’s family believes he may have been “poisoned.”
MTO News spoke with a member of Dre’s family and a friend, and they both are wondering – could this “aneurism” be the result of foul play? Could someone have tried to POISON DRE?
Now before you say – that’s crazy. It’s not all THAT crazy. Poisoning by use of anti-coagulants (popularly used in rat poison) is one of the most common poisons used in history.
When someone ingests rat poison (unknowingly) or even smells it – he or she can suffer symptoms that appear to be an aneurism, or a stroke. Usually it leads to death, especially if the victim ingests high doses, but that’s not always the case.
The family member claimed that “people were jealous” of Dre and she has requested an investigation of everyone near him before the incident.
She explained: “[Dre] is very healthy, he works out multiple times a week, goes to the doctor, and stays on top of everything. Something is definitely off about this.”
Last week a source told The Sun: “Doctors are running tests to try and find out what caused the brain aneurysm, but there haven’t been any more updates yet.
“Thankfully, he is doing much better, and it’s made everyone around him realize how short life is,” though the rapper remained in intensive care throughout his stay at Cedars Sinai.”
Dre’s medical scare overlapped a hearing on Wednesday in LA regarding his nasty divorce from ex Nicole.
Dre has agreed to pay Nicole $2 million in living expenses and the case will proceed on April 14.
Dre and Nicole share two kids together, Truice, 24, and Truly, 20, though the music mogul has six kids all together with five different women.
Earlier this week, more information came to light regarding the end of their 25-year marriage.
In court documents obtained by Daily Mail, Nicole, 51, reportedly claimed that her ex-husband: “held a gun to her head, punched her in the face and slammed her against a wall, lifting her off her feet by her neck.”
Dre denied the rumors, and issued a statement reading: “at no time did I abuse Nicole or threaten her physical safety.”
Nicole clapped back, calling his rebuttal “blatant lies,” and adding: “I have explained in excruciating and painful detail the abuse that Andre has perpetrated against me over our more than 25 year-relationship.”
The court documents stated that Andre “held a gun” to her head on “two occasions,” “punched” her “in the head/face on two occasions,” and “kicked down the door to a bedroom” where she “was hiding from his rage in 2016.”
