The latest photos of Vybz Kartel in prison are making the rounds online as fans are expressing great concerns for the incarcerated deejay’s health. The new images surfaced on Tuesday evening after Jamaican entertainer reportedly received a visit from his relatives and close friends.
In the photos, Vybz Kartel can be seen sporting a yellow kerchief around his neck with bulging eyes.
Many social media users believe the “Any Weather” deejay is in need of immediate medical attention.
“Kartel as a day one Gaza fan mi deeply concern about your health you look sick man this don’t look right them ago kill off the man in a prison,” one fan wrote.
“I really don’t like how Vybz Kartel is looking in these photos, this is not the World Boss i know and love. He needs some proper medical attention ASAP,” another fan added.
“Unnu too lie this is not Kartel a only Kartel can tell me say a him in this pic this not even look remotely close to him. Prison a take a toll on the man and all now no appeal verdict. The system a try kill the man before them even release him from prison,” a user expressed.

Earlier this year, Vybz Kartel was rushed to the hospital and admitted in serious but stable condition for thyroid issues.
“He has a thyroid issue. He had a crisis,” Vybz Kartel’s attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson said.
“He was admitted to the UHWI. The crisis has been brought under control. He’s not in danger at this time,” he added.
According to reports, that was Vybz Kartel’s third visit to hospital since his incarceration. In July 2015, he was taken to doctors at the University Hospital of the West Indies due to severe skin inflammation. His visit created quite a security concern as scores of fans converged on the hospital to get a glimpse of him. In 2017, he was being treated for a kidney-related issue at the same facility.
Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, along with fellow entertainer Shawn Storm, Andre St John, and Kahira Jones were found guilty in 2014 of the 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams after a trial lasted for 65 days. The four men were all given mandatory life sentences with the self-proclaimed “Worl’Boss” ordered to serve 35 years before he is eligible for parole. Following years of waiting on his appeal, the case was finally aired last year July in the Supreme Court. In nearly five days of legal submissions, the attorneys for Kartel and his three co-convicts argued that their right to a fair trial was prejudiced by a number of factors.
Among the scripts, the admission of ‘contaminated’ evidence during their 17-week murder trial. Chief among the ‘contaminated’ evidence was a BlackBerry message that was reportedly lifted from the entertainer’s mobile phone. During the appeal, the Prosecution argued that the integrity of the evidence remains intact and asked the judges to treat the message as admission to murder.
However, after several months, a blanket of uncertainty still hovers over Kartel’s appeal case, as the date when the verdict will be announced remains unknown.
