Eleven Returning Residents Killed In Jamaica Since The Start Of 2018
The Jamaica Security Ministry says 11 returning residents have been killed in Jamaica since the start of the year.
The Ministry says the latest incidents involved British citizens Karen Cleary-Brown and Barbara Findley.
A decomposing body believed to be that of Findley was found in Santa Cruz in St. Elizabeth, yesterday (December 6); while Cleary-Brown’s body was exhumed from a shallow grave on a property where she was building her home in Boscobel, St. Mary on Monday, December 3.
In a release issued today, Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang said the Government and the Ministry of national Security remain steadfast in their mandate to serve and protect all citizens.
The Minister offered his condolences to those affected by the loss of the two women and described their murders as wicked and un-Jamaican.
He stated that in the 11 cases where returning residents have been murdered, all of the accused identified have been apprehended.
