Oakland USA: Over the weekend, we shared the news of the most recent White woman who called the police on a Black person just trying to live their lives. In this case, the White woman was Alison Ettel who called the police on an 8-year-old girl selling water in front of her own home.

Ettel, for whatever reason, took offense to Jordan’s hustle and called the police. Thankfully, Jordan’s mother was right beside her and caught Ettel and her ridiculousness on camera.

Jordan’s mother, Erin Austin, said Ethel walked up to her demanding a permit. She threatened to call the police if they could not produce one. Later, Ettel told the Huffington Post, that she was only pretending to call the cops.

As a result of her actions, Ettel who sells cannabis, one of her suppliers, Magnolia Oakland said that they were going to stop carrying her products.

Today, she appeared on the “Today” show crying typical White woman tears.

In the interview, Ettel said, “I tried to be polite but I was stern. I said ‘Please, I’m trying to work. You’re screaming, you’re yelling. And people have their windows open, it’s a hot day. Can you please keep it down?’”

Austin, the 8-year-old’s mother, said that Ettel never asked them to be quiet. Instead, she said she immediately demanded a permit. Austin said, “That woman thought that she could use her White privilege and it didn’t work.”

Austin said her daughter was outside attempting to raise money to help her mother who recently lost her job and go to Disneyland.

Thankfully, when Jordan’s story went viral, a man named Jonathon Brannon decided to buy tickets for the little girl.

In addition, to her professional life, Ettel said her presence on social media has caused people to reach out with no so positive messages. During her interview on the “Today” show, Ettel said she’s received:

“All kinds of threats. Horrible, horrible images. And death threats.”

You already know there were tears.

She said that she is ashamed of her behavior and would like to apologize to her neighbors. Erin and her daughter said they would not accept the apology.
